ALBA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC ACADEMY’s Learning Approach will mainly focus on enhancing the MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE of each individual.
“MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE Refers to a Theory describing the different ways students learn and acquire information” – HOWARD GARDNER
Howard Gardner is a psychologist and Professor at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. Based on his study of many people from many different walks of life in everyday circumstances and professions. Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences. Here are the 9 AIM Academy’s approaches to Multiple Intelligence according to Howard Gardner’s Theory.

BODILY KINESTHETIC INTELLIGENCE
Is the capacity to manipulate objects and use a variety of physical skills. This intelligence also involves a sense of timing and the perfection of skills through mind–body union. Athletes, dancers, surgeons, and crafts people exhibit well-developed bodily kinesthetic intelligence.
AIM APPROACH:
IS TO PROVIDE MUSICAL ACTIVITIES THAT WILL ALLOW EVERYONE TO MOVE AND USE CHOREOGRAPHY WITH THE GROUP WHILE PLAYING THEIR INSTRUMENTS.

MUSICAL
People who have strong musical intelligence are good at thinking in patterns, rhythms, and sounds.
They have a strong appreciation for music and are often good at musical composition and performance.
AIM APPROACH:
IS TO IMPART THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS IN MUSIC, MELODY, HARMONY AND RHYTHM and to Give Emphasis on its importance.

VISUAL-SPATIAL INTELLIGENCE
Refers to a person’s ability to perceive, analyze, and understand visual information in the world around them. Essentially, they can picture concepts and ideas with their mind’s eye.
AIM APPROACH:
IS TO PROVIDE THE PARTICIPANTS WITH NOTE READING MATERIALS AND MUSIC CHARTS THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO EXPRESS and EXPLORE WITH THEIR OWN IDEAS AND CREATIVITY.

NATURALISTIC INTELLIGENCE
According to Gardner, naturalistic intelligence is the ability to identify, classify and manipulate elements of the environment, objects, animals or plants.
AIM APPROACH:
THIS IS A DELIGHTFUL OPTION AND OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PARTICIPANTS TO BE WITH NATURE AND APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF ITS SURROUNDING WHILE LEARNING MUSIC. THIS CAN BE DONE WITH CAMPSITE LOCATIONS. (FOR MUSIC CAMPS OR DRUM CAMPS)

INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
Individuals who are strong in intrapersonal intelligence are good at being aware of their own emotional states, feelings, and motivations. They tend to enjoy self-reflection and analysis, including daydreaming, exploring relationships with others, and assessing their personal strengths.
AIM APPROACH:
Musicians specially Drummers are working and connected with numbers, complex coordination, challenging rhythm and abstract ideas with scientific approach on the playing technique. We will be providing the Students / Participants the easiest method and formula to analyze, understand note values to further enhance their knowledge in combination patterns, awareness of bar numbers and complex time signatures. This will allow them to develop their creativity and ability to express their emotions in playing the instrument.

INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
is the ability to understand and interact effectively with others. It involves effective verbal and nonverbal communication, the ability to note distinctions among others, sensitivity to the moods and temperaments of others, and the ability to entertain multiple perspectives.
AIM APPROACH:
ONE OF THE CORE VALUES OF AIM ACADEMY IS TO PROMOTE BELONGINGNESS TO ACHIEVE A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT OF MUSICIANS AND MUSIC COMMUNITY. APPLIED ON AN ACTIVITY THAT INVOLVESDYNAMIC GROUPS (different ages and status) AND ENSEMBLES THAT WILL LET THEM WORK, INTERACT, CREATE, COMPOSE AND WATCHING OVER AS A TEAM

VERBAL-LINGUISTIC
Refers to a person’s ability to reason, solve problems, and learn using language. Because so much of the school curriculum is taught verbally, verbal-linguistic learners tend to do well in school. They may also excel in typical university settings.
AIM APPROACH:
Musicians have their own strong Verbal Linguistic ability to communicate with each other. That’s why in AIM Academy we will train, enhance and instruct them the method on singing the notes or rhythm patterns of a particular example that will be given to them in such a manner that they can share and express their ideas efficiently on the absence of their instruments.

LOGICAL / MATHEMATICAL INTELLIGENCE
Refers to our ability to think logically, reason, and identify connections.
AIM APPROACH:
IS TO IMPART THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS IN MUSIC, MELODY, HARMONY AND RHYTHM and to Give Emphasis on its importance.

EXISTENTIAL INTELLIGENCE
Sensitivity and capacity to tackle deep questions about human existence, such as the meaning of life, why do we die, and how did we get here.
AIM APPROACH:
AIM Academy Method Focuses on why Music Exist in every person. This Option will be addressed and exercised during a long talk session. Discussing, Discovering and Studying why music lives in every person. How to Use them and What’s the purpose… This is a highly favored option for Church and Gospel Musicians.
